Blurb:

This novella is the first in a series

My name is Monica. I’m a singer born and raised in Los Angeles.
I’ve stopped dating. When I cut a record, or win a Grammy, maybe then I’ll be with someone, but every man in my past has done everything he could to make me submit myself to him, and it’s gotten in the way of my career. I won’t do it again.

But there’s Jonathan. He owns the high-rise hotel where I work, and he is gorgeous and charming. I refuse to fall in love with him, even though when he asks me to submit to him, I want nothing more.

I went into this story with no background nothing… the first thing I thought was I felt like I was reading a fast moving TV series…. Once I hit the end I understood why “This series is structured like a serial TV show. Novellas will be released every 4 to 6 weeks, with a break between sequences of 3-4 books. Each Novella episode will be between 20 and 40 thousand words, and they’ll all end with unanswered questions”

Now that you’ve read that if you don’t like cliffhangers of any type, you might want to wait to read this until they are all published. The ending wasn’t a cliffhanger that had me throwing my Kindle but it made me want more.

This story is about Monica a struggling musician who waitresses in the high end of LA. She has sworn off men and is focusing on her music career. She meets Jonathan a billionaire who went through a divorce a few years back and has turned into a womanizer. Their connection is immediate but there are certain aspects holding them back.

Like I said the story is very fast moving, I think I read it in 2 hours tops. It does have some steamy scenes and some real life tragedies that make you a bit sad.  All in all I liked it and can’t wait for the next one!

Bio:

CD Reiss lives smack in the middle of Los Angeles with her children and husband. She likes to make pretty pictures and write dirty scenes. She eats dark chocolate and chili, together, sometimes with bacon, and doesn’t care what you think about that.
There are a million more things she could tell you about herself besides that, but they’re all too boring to mention in company.
