Blog Tour: Beat of the Heart by Katie Ashley

BLURB:

Beat of the Heart
(Runaway Train #2)
by Katie Ashley
After years of bad relationships and a cheating ex-fiancé,
twenty-eight-year-old Mia
Martinelli prefers healing her patients’ hearts on the Cardiac Care floor rather than risking having her heart broken again. But that all comes to a screeching halt when caring for the head roadie for Runaway Train puts her into the orbit of drummer and Latin Lover, AJ Resendiz. After a scorching weekend of steamy passion, Mia’s intention of getting out with her
heart unscathed is challenged by the stud with the wicked sense of humor, especially when he wants to continue seeing her. But when the harsh reality of AJ’s hoard of female admirers sends her insecurities into overdrive, Mia bails, leaving him handcuffed to his bathroom shower.

AJ never imagined that after two weeks of the best sex and
female companionship he’d ever experienced, he would need rescued by his band mates from his shower prison. Although he tries to forget the sensual brunette whose curves made his mouth water, AJ can’t get her out of his mind…or his
heart. Months later when he finally seeks Mia for answers as to why she left, nothing could prepare him for their life-altering reunion.

Can AJ prove to Mia that regardless of the women after his body, his heart belongs only to her?

Christina says...

When AJ Resendiz Drummer for the hot band Runaway Train goes to visit his friend in the hospital, he has no Idea his life is about to be turned upside down.

Mia Martinelli has worked hard to get where she is. Her life has not been an easy one and being a nurse is probably the best thing that has happened in her life. Until she spills a drink on AJ Resendiz lap and proceeds to quickly clean it up not realizing "where" she is rubbing until its pointed out.

" Carino, as much as it kills me to ask you to stop this rubdown, If you don't, you're going to make another mess to clean up. Inside m pants."

Mia conjuring up her inner strength ...

"How terribly embarrassing and inconvenient it must be for you to have such a sensitivity problem down there. I mean, chicks expect a night of passion with Mr. Latin Lover, and they get mere seconds." "Pity"

That is when AJ realized he had met his match..

"Now, that gentlemen is the future Mrs. Resendiz, right there"

Okay no more quotes from the book lets get back to the real review here.. There is LOTS of HOT HOT HOT Sex between Mia and AJ!! I mean who wouldn't Love a HOT Drummer?? But AJ .. he puts them all to shame.. the song should be named MOVES LIKE AJ lol. Seriously there was a lot of hot sex in this book but for me it took awhile for the story to emerge. After learning more about Mia's past you begin to understand why she is the way she is. There are many heartfelt moments in this book. many ups and downs this couple must face. Will they actually make it? Is what AJ spoke at the hospital going to happen.. At some points your all aw man this isn't going to work.. then it does.. then it doesn't, back and forth like a ping pong ball.. as with any good book your on a roller coaster. Meeting both families getting immersed in love that is there but has pasts that could rip it apart are all apart of the wonderful workings of this story. I give this book a 4 star rating.
