What Kathy Says....

The Ever After of Ella and Micha is book 4 of the Secrets Series by Jessica Sorensen.  The story picks up where The Temptation of Lila and Ethan (Book #3) left off.  Micha is just hoping that Ella will go through with getting married and Ella is trying to put her pre-wedding jitters behind her.  Even while planning their Christmas Wedding at home they are each hiding secrets that threaten to put turmoil in their relationship.  Ella is haunted by her past and Micha is nervous about his future.  The book is written in alternating POVs of Ella and Micha.

"You became my light in my dark life and you made me feel so loved that I'd forget how to breathe." - Ella

"I can't think of a time where I didn't want to be with you." - Micha

This was a nice conclusion to the Ella and Micha story.  My favorite scenes were the flashbacks to when they were growing up and falling in love.  We get to revisit several key moments in their story that were only alluded to in past books.  I loved reading first hand the tender moments from when they fell in love.  The flashbacks were mixed in with the present time along with their hidden fears and desires.  While the current drama seemed fitting for their story I almost wish we had just gotten a flashback novella with their wedding at the end.  I felt like they have been through enough drama already.  But, we can't have a Jessica Sorensen novel without a little drama, can we?  Even with the drama there was plenty of happy and passionate moments showing how perfectly they fit together as a couple.  Always reassuring and loving each other.   In the end it was an appropriate conclusion to their journey and I loved reading about their ever after!  I give it 3.5 Stars.

"Finally getting to our wonderfully, imperfect, difficult, complex, yet beautiful and worth it ever after."
