Blog Tour: He Belongs With Me by Sarah Darlington

Title: HE BELONGS WITH ME
Author: Sarah Darlington
Genre: New Adult Contemporary Romance
He Belongs With Me

Synopsis:
Identical twins, Maggie and Clara Ryder, both grew up with Leo Maddox, billionaire playboy, apparent alcoholic, and heir to his grandfather's world-famous Maddox hotel empire. Their roles were cemented long ago: Maggie, as his best friend and Clara as his childhood nemesis.

But when a simple twist of fate changes everything and both girls start to fall for the lean, mean, ridiculously sexy and seemingly spoiled Leo... which girl will win his heart?

Throw in a little mischief, drama, and one smoking-hot bartender and lines are sure to blur. But one thing's for certain, neither good-girl Maggie nor rebellious Clara will be satisfied until they each figure out where they belong.

Melanie says…

"If you love someone, you just love them. Flaws and all. You can't hate someone and love them at the same time—it doesn't work that way. Love is all or nothing. Sometimes your own issues get in the way, but once you strip away all the noise, you find that there is just love underneath.” - Maggie

I was quite surprised when I read this book. I had heard that it had a Cruel Intentions feel to it and it did a little in the beginning but as you get to know that characters, you really grow to love them. He Belongs WithMe is written in the POVs of identical twin 21 year old girls, Maggie & Clara, and they could not be more opposite even if they tried.

Maggie is the perfect one. She dresses nice, looks like a proper daughter of ex-golf pro, country club owner father and Clara is the wild one who likes to dye her hair purple.

Leo is beyond rich and lives just a short walk across the greens of the country club's golf course and is Maggie's best friend and Clara's nemesis. Whenever Clara and Leo get anywhere near each other they verbally battle each other. But one day, that all changes and changes the course of everyone's lives forever.

... a very stunning and terrifying realization hit me like a punch to the gut. Somewhere between yesterday and today, I'd developed feelings for Leo Maddox. I couldn't see it earlier, but I couldn’t deny it now. ‘Feelings’ and ‘Leo’ were two words that should never be used in the same sentence. (I am not telling which sister I am quoting because I don't want to ruin it!)

“I like you. I more than like you. As hard as I try, I can't seem to stop and I sure as hell don't want to try anymore.” - Leo

If you are looking for an angsty read, this is a good choice. I started the book really disliking Clara, but by the end I realized that she was just misunderstood and wasn't the biggest bitch in the world!

So.... who gets Leo? You will have to buy it and read it!

5 Stars!!!!!

Rolling green lawns and country club living is where you will meet twin sisters Maggie and Clara Ryder. Two sisters that couldn’t be more different if they tried. For the last few years they have not gotten along and they were both fine with the way things were going.

Until the men in their lives changed it all. Leo the boy next door who has always been Maggie’s best friend has both girls questioning “is he the one?”. Then there is sweet Robby or  “Dean” who was Maggie’s first love and first heartbreak, where has he been for the last six years and why the name change? Then there is sleazeball Andrew whom we all hate. How far will he go to belong to one of the sisters. From best friends to new and old lovers the girls deal with heartbreak and new romance. Who will end up with whom is the question that had me almost turning to the last pages to find out.

Take a ride on this emotional rollercoaster you will be so happy when it is done.

This steamy romance is well done. Even with all the characters running around there is never a doubt what each one is feeling. Going into this story without reading a synopsis I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed reading what is for me a new author. I will definitely go and see if there are any more of her books available and she is going on my auto-buy list.

4 out of 5 swoon worthy stars.
